Do people who commit suicide go to heaven? It’s one of the most painful questions a family can face, and Christians have heard very different answers over the years.

Why have some Christians taught that suicide automatically sends a person to hell? What does the commandment “Thou shalt not kill” actually mean in its biblical context? And what can we learn from the people in Scripture who experienced such deep despair that they wanted to die?
Dr. Cutshall examines examples of suicide found in the Bible and looks at the stories of Job, Elijah, and David, three men who experienced profound hopelessness but found reasons to keep going.
This is a difficult subject, but one that deserves both biblical truth and compassion.
